U15's v Waunarlwydd - Comfortable win against neighbours

With a depleted squad of only 18 available players, we entertained our neighbours Waunarlwydd to Gowerton.  Less substitutes meant more game time for all the boys so hopefully a more fluid game was in store.  The game started fairly quietly with no major incidents in the first 5 minutes.  Then on 7 minutes a nice backs move saw winger Alex Graham-Wollard cross over for a try in the corner.  The conversion was missed, 5-0.  A few minutes later we had a ruck on the halfway line and flanker Teigue Williams broke from the base of the ruck, saw a big gap and raced over unopposed for a fine try.  The conversion was successful by No. 10 Alex Hughes, 12-0.  The boys were keen on turning possession into points and on 14 minutes another neat move saw centre Joe Richards cross for a try , once again in the corner, and the difficult conversion was missed.  17-0.  On 22 minutes from a ruck the ball came out to outside half Alex Hughes who cut back towards traffic but managed to swerve and side step his way through several missed tackles to weave himself across the line for a fine solo effort.  The conversion was missed, 22-0.  No further scores that half.

The second half started the same and from a fine run by prop Gwion Davies who has brought down agonisingly close to the line, the ball popped back to scrum half Brandon Jones to pick up and score an easy try.  By now the conversions were not taken, 27-0.  A light drizzle had now decended on the ground making the handling a little more tricky and this resulted in numerous knock on's on both sides.  On 14 minutes Scott Cornelius scored a fine individual try following a kick and chase then a further kick on, Scott dived on to the ball in the in goal area for a fine try. 32-0.  A few minutes later Scott was at it again, the move started from our line out with Jack Griffin making a blindside break before passing to Teigue who gave a nice inside pass to Scott to race under the posts. 37-0.  On 23 minutes, Brandon crossed for his second on the game, 42-0.  With more or less the last play of the game, a fine move by both forwards an backs saw Adam Williams dive over for a well worked try.  The final whistle blew shortly after, final score 47-0.  A good win follwoing last week's defeat and pleasing not to concede any points too.
